Sunstone as a warm spark
A warm spark. Sunstone is this season’s warm sit — feldspar that answers a turn of the light with glitter, thin plates already in the body. Moonstone keeps a soft light, a milk that glows and does not break apart. Labradorite keeps a cool flash, a blue that crosses a gray face and moves on. Citrine keeps a warm gold, a honey held as one steady color. Sunstone keeps a spark. You meet the glitter before you meet a hue that is willing to sit still.

Warm cabochons share a cloth with a pale neighbor. The orange stones glitter. The moonstone stays a quiet milk. You would name the spark before you named the stone that does not scatter. A soft light would have stayed a sheen. A cool flash would have crossed and left. A honey gold would have held one temperature. These warm stones do something else. They break the light into points. That scatter is the season. A mount can come later.
The plates are the whole story. Hematite, thin enough to glitter and too small to become a picture. Aventurescence is the word for it — not a color laid on, a spark the feldspar grew. You would turn the cloth and the points would travel. The milk beside them would not.
A single dome
One polished cabochon keeps the spark without a crowd. Orange, copper, a dome the light can enter and leave as glitter. You would see those points before you asked for a bezel. No window has been cut. The stone is still a field, and the field is on fire in a small way.

The dome answers
Turn it and the glitter moves with you. The body stays warm. The event is the scatter. A citrine of the same size would have given a gold you could trust to stay put. This dome will not stay put. It will keep answering.
The season is wearing that answer. A feldspar content to be a spark, a setting only a later frame. You meet the glitter, and the chair can wait. Nothing in the polish writes the plates. They were already in the stone, and the light only agrees to find them.
A dome on a cloth would have been enough. The cabochon is that dome, already jewelry before a claw arrives. You would feel the points of light before you traced an edge.
The spark in company
A cloth of faceted Oregon sunstones finishes the thought as a season, not a single stone. Champagne, orange, a deeper red, some almost clear — each one a feldspar that can glitter, the warm sit repeated until it is a choice. You would meet that range before you asked which stone held the most copper. The cuts differ. The appetite is the same. A spark the body already keeps.

Many stones, one glitter
A cabochon spends the spark as a dome. This cloth spends it as a row of warms. You would turn the group and one stone would answer harder than its neighbor. That is still sunstone. The quieter ones have not changed their job. They are waiting for the angle that wakes the plates.
Labradorite would have flashed cool. Moonstone would have stayed a milk. Citrine would have held one gold. These stones hold a spark, and the spark is allowed to be brighter in one and softer in the next. The planes are only how the light gets in. The season is the glitter they find.
That is the season sit. Sunstone as a warm spark. Warm stones glittering beside a quiet milk. A dome that keeps the fire to itself. A cloth of cut gems that still answers with plates — a feldspar you wear as light that scatters.
