Chrysoprase as a cool green

Cool apple green, worn as weather. Chrysoprase is the soft opaque sit — a green that holds light without flashing it. Not an emerald lantern. Not tourmaline’s saturated weather. The stone behaves like morning air on gold. Houses are putting that hue back on the table this year; Cartier’s graphic color work has been cited with chrysoprase. You meet the green first. The gold is only the hold.

A Frankish earring is the climate in one small face. A thin hoop, a gold polyhedron, then a triangular pane of chrysoprase — apple green, opaque, already a cool light in the metal.
